Blog guest: Lazar Zlatic

Lazar Zlatic is a member of the Serbian national swimming team, senior national 100m and 200m backstroke champion, 100m and 200m backstroke bronze medallist at the Junior Balkan Championship, senior national record holder in 4x200m freestyle relay, and a participant of the European Junior Championship in Antwerp in 2012, as a Swimming Dad #Blog guest talks about what he likes and what he doesn’t like doing at the waterpark, and if his current trainings allow him to enjoy “kamikaze” water slides?

What do you like best at the waterpark, and what would you never try to do? What I like best is to try out the speed of the new water slides… the ones which are not for small kids (he added laughingly). On the other hand, what I would never do in any waterpark is to sit down and enjoy the sun (and I saw many people doing exactly that), because you can do it on your terrace, at the hotel swimming pool, on the beach. I like to enjoy every single minute spent at the waterpark because it’s simply made for fun.

What is the most exciting waterpark that you have visited so far? Definitely it’s Atlantis in Dubai.

Does your career as a professional swimmer allow you to experiment with those adrenalin pushers at the waterpark? Not that much at the moment as I am quite busy. I work and train a lot, so my free time is very limited. On the other hand, since I live and swim in Budapest, what I need to do is to find a decent waterpark in this city (he added laughingly).
